All Souls Saturday is a day set aside for commemoration of the dead within the liturgical year of the Eastern Orthodox and Greek-Catholic Churches. Saturday is a traditional day for prayer for the dead, because Christ lay dead in the Tomb on Saturday.

Vespers is first service of the Daily Cycle of divine services celebrated in the Orthodox Church. Because the liturgical day begins at sunset, Vespers is traditionally served in the early evening. For many parishes, Vespers is the principal evening service.

Please come join us in the Parish Hall for a feast following Divine Liturgy.  Each family should bring a basket with their favorite goodies to break the Great Fast and celebrate the Paschal Season.  Ideas on what to include may be found by clicking the Our Faith and Traditions link on the right hand side of the page.
