The Mystery of Repentance is offered immediately following Saturday Liturgy.
Guidelines for the reception of the Mystery of Repentance:
All practicing Catholics (Roman, Eastern, and Oriental) who have been
baptized according to the standards of their particular church may
receive the Holy Mystery of Repentance (also known as the Sacrament of
Confession in the Roman Church). All baptized members of the Eastern or
Oriental Orthodox churches, the Assyrian Church of the East, or the
Polish National Church who are in good standing with their church and
who spontaneously request it may receive the Holy Mystery of
Repentance, but they are counseled to follow the guidelines their own
churches have set. All others are encouraged to seek out their own
ministers or to inquire about the practices and beliefs of the
Byzantine Catholic Church. In order to avail yourself of the
forgiveness the Lord offers through the Mystery of Repentance, you need
only approach Father after Saturday Liturgy or at any other time by
appointment. After Liturgy, Father will be standing beside the ikon of
Christ at the ikonostas waiting for any penitents to approach. If you
are Roman Catholic or otherwise have not confessed according to the
eastern tradition, you may mention this to Father who will be happy to
guide you through it. It is never too late to be reconciled with the
Lord!
